Sources: Hugo Ekitike move to Newcastle United is being planned; bid has already been made.
Hugo Ekitike of Paris Saint-Germa
in might be available for Newcastle United to reclaim in January, sources have told Football Insider.
Following their current injury crisis, Football Insider disclosed on November 14 that the Magpies are looking to acquire players at center-back, central midfield, and striker.
Due to their present striker shortage, Newcastle had to put Anthony Gordon up front in their loss to Bournemouth last week. Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson are both out of the starting lineup.
The Magpies made an attempt to sign Ekitike, 21, during the January 2022 transfer window, just after their massively expensive acquisition financed by Saudi Arabia.
The midfielder reportedly turned down a deal of £30 million with add-ons that his former team, Stade de Reims, had accepted.
Currently at Paris Saint-Germain, he isn’t playing much football because of the additions of Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani during the summer transfer window.
