Eddie Howe provides an optimistic injury update for two players, but the nature of the injury to the key defender is still unknown.

Eddie Howe, the head coach of Newcastle United, recently provided an update on the injuries sustained by three players.

Two of them are positive for Harvey Barnes and Alexander Isak, but there is still a sense of mystery surrounding Sven Botman’s injury, and it doesn’t seem like the medical personnel have properly identified it.

After our previous 2-0 loss at Bournemouth, we had 10 players injured and two banned (Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes).

And for the home match against Chelsea, we should ideally have Bruno Guimaraes back after his one-match suspension for receiving five yellow cards, along with Isak and Barnes.

Last weekend, we truly missed Guimaraes’ inventiveness in midfield, and we’re hoping he doesn’t sustain any injuries while

Almiron’s grade one (moderate) hamstring tear has forced him to miss time, which presents another challenge for Howe.

Eddie Howe recently stated the following regarding these three injuries:

“Alex is doing great,” said Howe. “He is increasing his weight to ensure that he is strong enough to make a comeback.” Touch wood, his groin feels good and his fitness levels are good.

“He intends to come back following the international break.”

“I believe Harvey Barnes has only recently begun to run,” He needed to give his toe’s bone time to mend.

Hopefully, he’s headed in the right direction. It is likely that he won’t be too far away following the international break.

“Sven has been progressing well; there has been no major news.

Nothing major to report on Sven; he’s been doing well. “He has been receiving specialized treatment in Holland.”

“I’ll talk to him and see how he’s doing; I think he’s back here.

Not to this extent, but it’s challenging because I don’t want to exaggerate its already-existing significance.

“Because they are competent enough, I want to concentrate on the players who are available and healthy.”

The 23-year-old Botman suffered a knee injury more than 11 weeks ago, on August 27th, which is 79 days ago.

He sustained an injury during our 2-1 home loss to 10-man Liverpool, and it doesn’t appear to be getting better.

As a result, the Dutch U21 international has already missed a huge 11 games for us this season.

It might be worthwhile for Newcastle to spend the money to bring in some injury experts, as Rafa Benitez did during his tenure as head coach.
