Naufahu Whyte, a young forward, has signed a two-year contract extension with the Roosters that will keep him with the team through the end of the 2026 campaign.

Since joining the team in 2021, the 21-year-old backrower has participated in 11 first-grade matches, including eight in 2023.

Daniel Anderson, the head of recruitment for the Roosters, expressed his satisfaction with Whyte’s extension after learning that he was also selected as the 18th player in the Kiwis squad for the recent Pacific Championships.

“Observing Fahu’s development within our team over the past few years has been fantastic,” Anderson remarked.

“He’s a hard worker and a good person, and his best footy is ahead of him, so it’s great to have him locked into the club’s long-term plans.”

Former Maroons representative Corey Allan has been signed by the Dragons to a one-year contract to 2024.

Prior to the 2019 season, St George Illawarra made the announcement that the 25-year-old, who played for the Roosters the previous year, would be joining them. Coach Shane Flanagan praised Allan’s versatility as a backline player.

For the 2024 campaign, Solomon Alaimalo, an outside back in New Zealand Super Rugby, has been signed by the Wests Tigers.

After spending several seasons playing rugby league with the Waikato Chiefs and, most recently, Canterbury in New Zealand’s National Provincial Championship, the 27-year-old has switched to rugby league.

The tall back, who arrived for his first preseason practice on Monday with his new teammates, will be a valuable asset to the team, according to coach Benji Marshall.

Solomon is a very explosive athlete with tremendous speed, power, and agility, so we’re thrilled to have him join the club, Marshall said.

“He is a man of great character who will also add leadership and experience to our group.”Haumole Olakau’atu, a star second-rower, has signed a massive six-year contract extension with Manly that will keep him with the team till the end of 2031.

The 25-year-old, who has already signed for 2024 and 2025, is now the player with the longest contract on the team and will play with the Sea-Eagles until he reaches 33.

In 73 first-grade games since making his NRL debut for Manly in 2019, the Tonga international has scored 29 tries.

Kurt Capewell, a veteran back-rower, was released by the Broncos and signed a three-year contract with the Warriors, which went into effect right away.

With one year remaining on his contract, Brisbane released the former Maroons representative and 2021 premiership champion, who will now join the team on a contract that will last until the end of the 2026 NRL season.

Kurt is a player of exceptional caliber and experience, and we’re excited to have him on board right away, stated Warriors general manager of recruitment, pathways, and development Andrew McFadden.

In addition to his abilities as a player, Kurt will be a great asset to the team as a mentor to the young back row players that the club produces.

Max Plath, a gifted playmaker, has been promoted to the first team by the Dolphins and has had his contract extended through the end of 2026.

Along with captain Tohu Harris, center Rocco Berry and second rower Jackson Ford signed contract extensions with the Warriors, the team recently announced.

Harris has signed a new one-year contract that will keep him in Auckland through the end of the 2025 season at the latest. Following their outstanding seasons, Berry and Ford were rewarded with contract extensions, with Berry signing through to 2026 and Ford through to 2025.
